“I so appreciate the one-hour Jin Shin session I did with Eden. As I'm just 10 weeks out from wrist surgery on broken bones from a fall, Eden's sensitive work helped me both to relax deeply, and especially to bring my body's off-kilter felt-sense of symmetry back into balance. She easily oriented me in her home studio and peaceful workspace; her experience with the human nervous system, yoga, and with assisted-stretch bodywork is rich and really comes through. One's very body knows this is deeply safe and nurturing space! After a thoughtful Q & A that helped Eden understand my body issues and wholistic aspects of myself, we started with some gentle assisted stretching for my achy right hip. Then we began the energy work of the Jin Shin. This was my first time with this modality. I have experience with different forms of bodywork, including Craniosacral work, and was eager to experience Jin Shin. Eden explained where she would put her hands and I just relaxed my body and brought my attention 'inside'. As I relaxed into her quietly-held hand placement, I slipped into a floating awareness similar to my cranial feel, and yet not quite that. Eventually I would feel a pulse like a gentle watery wave, moving along the spine between where her hands were placed. Part way through the placements, I felt the whole left side of my head "awaken" and integrate with the right side. Wow! It was as if a light went on in the tissues. Wonderfully, I would notice a sensation and say nothing, and Eden would comment that she had noticed something. These things are outwardly subtle, and I am so impressed at Eden's ability to feel these aspects of my body's deep workings and understand what's going on. By the end of the session, my whole nervous system felt like a quiet pond, and my sense of balance and symmetry flowed smoothly. I felt freshly upright. I highly recommend this work for balancing, nurturing, integrating, finding peace and ease inside your body, and assisting healing at many levels. I get the sense that there is even more to it! I am grateful for Eden's gifted work, and will be telling my friends, as well as coming back for more!
