NeuroSomatic Energy Healing (NSEH)

A blend of Eastern traditional energy techniques, trauma-informed somatic practices, and Western Science.

NSEH is a modality created by Eden Marquis, MS, RYT that blends traditional energy healing techniques from the Eastern hemisphere, Trauma-Informed Somatic theories and practices, and Western science. It involves a combination of Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Neuroaffective Touch, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Breathwork, Essential Oils, smoke medicine (smudging), and other modalities listed below. NSEH is a hands-on, gentle touch, fully clothed, trauma-informed modality. 

NSEH centers largely around Jin Shin Jyutsu, a Japanese healing technique that translates to “Art of the Benevolent Creator,” which is a Physio-Philosophy which supports the body’s natural healing processes by working with the flow of chi (Qi, Prana, Life Force Energy, etc.) via specific touch formulas utilizing “safety energy locks” - similar to acupressure. Jin Shin Jyutsu promotes universal harmony within the self and helps to restore balance in mind, body, & spirit. NSEH can help with stress/relaxation, mood support, chronic pain, organ dysfunction, elimination issues, anxiety, depression, smoking cessation, trauma recovery, spiritual connection, etc.

Eden has trained in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, Neuroaffective Touch, Embodied Processing, How to Target the Limbic System to Reverse Trauma’s Physiological Imprint, Vagal Toning, Polyvagal Theory,Peer Support, Auricular Acudetox, 200hr Hatha Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, The Neurobiology of Yoga, Working with Grief - Theory and Therapeutic Applications, MyoFascial Release, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Jin Shin Jyutsu, & Usui Reiki I, II, & III. She holds a Master of Science in Ethnobotany and is currently studying Ayurvedic Nutrition.
